OUR STORY
About Grapes for Glioblastoma
OUR WHY
A glioblastoma diagnosis changes everything in an instant. Alongside fear, uncertainty, and urgent medical decisions, families are often faced with mounting practical costs that insurance does not cover — travel for specialist care, temporary lodging, caregiving support, home accommodations, meals, childcare, and other everyday needs. Grapes for Glioblastoma exists to help lighten that burden with direct financial support, delivered quickly and compassionately.
OUR STORY
How it started
Grapes for Glioblastoma began in a hospital waiting room.
When our family faced a glioblastoma diagnosis, we were suddenly living in a world of complex decisions, travel for treatment, unfamiliar medical language, and rising costs. We were fortunate to have the resources to stay near a major medical center, seek second opinions, and keep our family close during a deeply difficult time.
But very quickly, we realized not every family had that same support. We saw patients sitting alone in waiting rooms. We saw caregivers sleeping in chairs because a hotel room was out of reach. We saw families trying to choose between essential daily expenses and access to better care.
It became clear that the financial burden of glioblastoma was deepening the pain of an already devastating diagnosis. So we decided to do something about it.
OUR SUPPORT
HOW WE HELP
Grapes for Glioblastoma is not a research foundation. Our focus is simple: real, immediate financial support for families navigating a glioblastoma diagnosis. That support may help cover travel to major medical centres, lodging for treatment, caregiving, home adjustments, or other urgent day-to-day needs that make an already overwhelming situation even harder.
Every contribution helps ease practical pressure at a time when families need room to breathe, make decisions, and be together. Whether support comes through a donation or through the purchase of Folded Hills wine, each act of generosity helps turn compassion into meaningful relief.
A Personal Note
What we are building through Grapes for Glioblastoma is deeply personal.
After Andy’s diagnosis, we came to understand just how many families are carrying not only the emotional weight of this disease, but the financial strain that comes with it. We also saw how isolating that can be. In waiting rooms, treatment centers, and quiet moments between appointments, we met people trying to navigate impossible decisions with far too little support.
This foundation was created from that experience — and from a simple belief that no family facing glioblastoma should have to carry this burden alone.
Making wine is our joy. Making wine for a cause is our purpose. Through Grapes for Glioblastoma, we hope to offer something practical, compassionate, and immediate support that gives families a little more breathing room, a little more dignity, and a little more capacity to focus on what matters most.
Thank you for being here, for caring, and for helping us turn something deeply difficult into something that can bring relief to others.
